For more than 25 years, Gloria’s Restaurant has been a Dallas favorite for upscale Latin cuisine and vibrant hospitality. As demand grew at its Uptown location, the owners sought a design solution that could expand seating while strengthening the connection between the restaurant’s interior and outdoor patio.

Expanding Seating with Flexible Glass Walls
To meet that goal, MSC Design specified the NanaWall SL70 folding glass wall system, creating an adaptable dining environment that can transition from climate-controlled comfort to open-air seating in seconds. According to architect Matthew S. Crittenden, no comparable solution offered the same combination of flexibility, scale, and performance.
Two Distinct Dining Experiences in One Space
The monumental SL70 system features panels up to 12 feet tall that flood the interior with daylight while creating a dramatic opening to the patio. When fully opened, guests enjoy fresh air and seamless indoor-outdoor dining; when closed, the restaurant maintains a comfortable, protected environment without sacrificing expansive views.
“We chose NanaWall’s folding wall system… because it gives our client the flexibility to offer patrons two different dining experiences in one space.”
Built for Performance in Every Season
Beyond aesthetics, the thermally broken SL70 system delivers dependable performance in demanding conditions. Its engineering supports energy efficiency, weather resistance, wind performance, and acoustic control, helping keep diners comfortable year-round while preserving the restaurant’s open, inviting atmosphere.
Engineered for Hospitality Environments
Available in multiple configurations and sizes, the SL70 system was well suited to Gloria’s operational needs and architectural vision. The durable design accommodates large openings while maintaining smooth operation and a clean appearance, giving the restaurant the flexibility to maximize seating capacity without compromising comfort or style.
