Manhattan Modern: Another Steve Lazar Masterpiece

By NanaWall Systems, August 23, 2012

As promised, here is another masterpiece designed by Steve Lazar: The Manhattan Modern. This stunning seaside residence was actually designed and built by Steve for himself, his wife and kids! The second he saw the 2,700 sq ft property in Manhattan Beach, CA, he had an instant vision for his dream home. True to his design element, the three-story high rise integrates clean, innovative design with the environment in a fresh way. Clerestory reflective glass windows allow in natural light without compromising on privacy. Clear glass is only used to expose clear views of the ocean, from Malibu to Catalina, from practically everywhere in the house.

Retractable glass doors by NanaWall are used on the street level to create an indoor/outdoor lounge, and in the west-facing living room for a lanai-style patio.

Subtle hues of aqua and blue are infused throughout the home, including in the shimmering ocean blue tile backsplash in the kitchen.

The floor plan is compartmentalized into six segments on three separate floors, connected by a series of bridges and floating stairs Read more about the Manhattan Modern residence in California Design magazine
