Design Windload Chart
(Derived From Comparative Analysis) Test Unit Size: 9'5" W x 8'2 1/2" H (3 panels)
Please note that some jurisdictions may limit the use of these charts or may not accept them at all. Design pressures and/or sizes may be restricted to what was tested. For Florida approved products, please see detailed FL Evaluation Report for restrictions.
Please also note that chart is only applicable for units with referenced Nana Wall supplied locking.
Positive and negative design pressures for both inward and outward opening units.
Up to twelve panels are possible in a unit. Any custom panel size is possible up to the maximum size shown.
The total overall unit width is the number of panels multiplied by the individual panel width. As a guide, the table below shows some examples with the number of panels multiplied by selected panel widths.

Stainless Steel Flat Handles
Stainless steel flat handles are available either in a brushed satin or black titanium finish.
Solid Brass Lever Handles
Solid brass lever handles and escutcheon plates are available either in a Oil Rubbed Brass, Satin Nickel or a White finish.
Other Flat Handle Options
Flat handles are available in Dark Brown, Dark Grey, Silver Grey (Not Shown) and White.
Custodial hardware is available to protect from unauthorized access or movement of panels.
Multipoint locking with latch, deadbolt and top/bottom locking rods
This option is possible only on primary swing door.
Includes top and bottom Polyamide capped locking rods, deadbolt, a Schlage compatible lock set with lockable latch and lever handles on the inside and outside. Depression of handles withdraws latch. Lifting of handles engages rods and turn of key or thumb turn engages deadbolt and operates lock.
Operable from inside and outside.
Two Point Locking
Standard between each pair of bi-fold panels and an option for swing panels. 180 degree turn of handle moves locking rods up or down. Uses 7 mm spindle.
Operable from inside only.
Possible only on primary or secondary swing panel.
Pull handles on both sides with deadbolt(s) operated by a lockset. Lockset option of having key operations on both sides. With a profile cylinder, panel is lockable with a thumbturn from the inside and a key from the outside. To keep the panel from being blown open, this option should be used with a door closer, but note that a door closer is not possible on a swing panel in a folding system that is not attached to a side jamb

Glazing Area Options
Most commercially available glazing such as insulated Low-E glass can be used with a NanaWall. Custom layouts with horizontal mullions, simulated divided lites, inserts and high bottom rails are available
Transforming walls and delivering a dream design can be achieved where weather or flying insects would normally prevent the practicality of creating an open space. A retractable screen add-on is perfect for blocking bugs while providing privacy and fresh air. The retractable screens are available in two options:
- Screen ONE
- Screen Classic
NanaWall Matching French Doors are available as single doors or pairs. Very narrow stiles and rails are possible.
NanaWall French Doors use exactly the same profiles and hardware as the matching NanaWall Folding Glass Walls. Hence, the same size charts, glazing options, wood/finish options and finish hardware options as the matching NanaWall Folding Glass Walls are applicable.
The same testing performance results also apply (within a folding system, with an odd number of panels stacking to one side, the last panel is a swing door).
3D Models, Revit & AutoCAD Details
All opening requirements and surrounding conditions must be ready and meet the NanaWall supplied drawings before the certified installer arrives. Installers can review the openings before installation to ensure accuracy and verify all opening requirements have been met. Upon completion, the certified installer will ask to have a sign-off sheet completed, this will ensure your satisfaction with the installation of your NanaWall system. The certified installer will be available for a complete operational demonstration at time of installation.
NanaWall helps certified installers through continuous education to make sure they are up to date on all of our 20+ different systems. Their training process includes extensive education for both folding and sliding systems. Our installation management team makes periodic site visits to ensure the high standard of quality installation is maintained. Due to the extensive training your certified installer receives, it will ensure your NanaWall System is installed right, on-time, and hassle-free.
A benefit using certified installers is increased warranty coverage (review for details) of your new NanaWall system. Many areas have both commercial and residential trained installers.
Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services Available

The approximate weight of a panel is the following:
Tempered Single Glazing: 4 - 4.5* lbs/sqft
Insulated Tempered Glazing: 5.5 - 8* lbs/sqft
Tempered Triple Glazing: 6 - 8.5* lbs/sqft
* The higher values applies to taller units
Single Impact Glazing: 8 lbs/sqft
Insulated Impact Glazing: 11 lbs/sqft
For the HSW75, FSW75, CSW75, PrivaSEE, and ClimaCLEAR systems the weight of a panel with 1/2" glass is 8 lbs/sqft.
For cero II the approximate weight of a panel for double glazed is 10 lbs/sqft and for double glazed laminated is 12 lbs/sqft.
For cero III the approximate weight of a panel for triple glazed is 13 lbs/sqft and for triple glazed laminated is 15 lbs/sqft.
The vertical structural deflection of the header should be the lesser of L/720 of the span and 1/4" under full loads. Structural support for lateral loads (both windload and when the panels are stacked open) must also be provided.
For floor supported systems (SL70, SL73, SL82, SL60u, WA67u and WD66u, please note that there is no vertical load on the header).
It is recommended that all building loads be applied to the header prior to installing the NanaWall. If so and if a reasonable amount of time has been allowed for the effect of this dead load on the header, only then can the building's live can be used to meet the above requirements of L/720 or 1/4". If not, both the dead and live loads needs to be considered.
Please see the Installation Instructions / Owner's Manual for each system.
NanaWall Systems, Inc. has independent, factory trained installers throughout North America, including Mexico, Canada, Caribbean and Central America.
