The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) recently featured “Three Outdoor Spaces, Three Entertainment Solutions” on its website. All three outdoor spaces were pretty spectacular, but we wanted to share one in particular. Each client installed a state-of-the-art entertainment system in their backyard for outdoor viewing. However, one of the installations included a large operable glass wall, so that people indoors can enjoy the outdoor entertainment system as well! Re-blogged from CEDIA:
Indoor/Outdoor Living
"This homeowner initially just wanted a tiki hut and a way to watch football and hockey games in his backyard, but over several conversations with Sarasota, Fla.-based SmartHouse Integration, the project grew in scope. The end result was a stellar system with a Stewart StarGlas projection screen and JBL outdoor stadium speakers.
NanaWall doors fold up to open the entire front and side of the house and create a flow between the indoors and the pool area. On bad weather days, the poolside screen becomes an all-weather theater; the homeowner can close the glass doors and watch the screen from the inside, while the theater audio plays on indoor speakers."
We wish we had our own outdoor/indoor theater - don't you? If you liked this residence, be sure to check out our post on "The Perfect Residence in LA," featured in the movie "The Perfect Host."
