Check out this $2 million plus beachfront residence in Hermosa Beach, Southern California. The home, built along the shoreline, is defined by its ocean views.

The architect on the project, Steve Lazar (locally known for his innovative designs) put a lot of thought into capturing views throughout the home. Everywhere you turn you see the ocean. One of the challenges of the project was the sloped property, with a 20 ft elevation difference between the front and back of the property. Steve solved the challenge by creating a tall, airy split-level design. It allows clear ocean views from many vantage points in the home. Steve says, “Every time you go up the stairs to another level and turn, you see the ocean.” The most dramatic space in the home is the great room on the top level, where a 20 foot NanaWall can be opened onto an 800 sq-ft deck, blending the indoors and outdoors. According to Steve, “You can hear the ocean and feel the breeze,” when the doors are open. Great job on the project Steve!
